This Baltic tour is a voyage that takes you to some of the most captivating destinations around the Baltic Sea. Enjoy a slow sail from Oslo, Norway, through the skerries along the Swedish coastline, visiting beautiful Stockholm, Sweden, and modern Helsinki, Finland, before setting course for St. Petersburg in Russia. There you will enjoy an overnight stay with plenty of time to take in the sights. Then this Baltic Sea adventure heads west again, and calls at charming ports in Estonia and Poland before ending the voyage in Oslo. Enjoy the comfort and relaxed atmosphere onboard our luxurious explorer ship, the MS Fram, while you take in all the beauty of the pearls of the Baltic Sea.

Day 1: Oslo, Norway Begin your journey on the island of Bygdoy, just a short ferry ride from Oslo's city center. Here you will find the Fram Museum, where the original 19th century explorer ship Fram is placed. We recommend that you acquaint yourself with Oslo and the first Fram before you check in to your comfortable cabin aboard VIP Tours's MS Fram, its modern namesake. Join fellow passengers on deck as you set sail for an amazing Baltic tour. Day 2: Sailing the Baltic Sea Spend the day sailing towards Stockholm. Get an inside look at what lies ahead with VIP Tours's Expedition Team. They will provide you with information and lectures in preparation for the next port of call you will be exploring. Enjoy the view from the MS Fram's spacious observation lounge or outdoor deck with its outstanding vistas; or enjoy a dip in one of our outdoor Jacuzzis. Day 3: Stockholm, Sweden Built on 14 islands and the remains of an ancient Viking fortress, Stockholm has been dubbed the "Venice of the North." Dotted with parks and squares, the city is both medieval and modern, offering some of the finest sights in all of Scandinavia. Explore the streets of Gamla Stan, the old medieval city, home to the Coronation Church, the Royal Palace, and City Hall. The Wasa Museum on Djurgarden Island houses the wreck of the flagship Wasa, which sank here on its maiden voyage in 1628. After an overnight stay you will leave the city known as the "Beauty on Water" and sail to Finland, through the stunning Stockholm Archipelago, a photographer's delight. Day 4: Helsinki, Finland Just across the Gulf of Finland from Russia, design mecca Helsinki is laid out with spacious streets interspersed with many gardens and parks. Architecturally, the city is a mixture of old and modern styles. The Senate building and Suurkirkko, or Helsinki Cathedral, are fine examples of older, neoclassical buildings. They lay in stark contrast to the 20th century art nouveau style and functionalism of Helsinki Central railroad station, designed in 1918 by Finnish architect Eliel Saarinen, and Alvar Aalto's iconic Finlandia Hall. Days 5-6: St. Petersburg, Russia Though the name has changed several times throughout history, the charm and beauty of this city on the River Neva has remained. Gracing the shores of the Baltic, St. Petersburg is a living monument to its founder, Peter the Great. A standout among the more than 1,000 architectural and historical monuments is the former imperial palace-The Hermitage. It houses the great treasures of the Russian czars and today is one of the world's largest art museums. Culture has always flourished in St. Petersburg, due to the influences of artists such as Pushkin, Dostoyevsky, Pavlova, Nijinsky, and Fabergé. Outside the city, you may choose to explore Peterhof palace and gardens (Petrodvorets), built by Peter the Great to resemble Versailles in France. Several optional excursions will be available, enabling you to make the most of this portion of your Baltic tour. Day 7: Tallinn, Estonia Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, was once an important port in the medieval Hanseatic League. Since then, the Danes, Germans, and Russians have all left their imprint on the city. The aura of the 14th and 15th century still remains intact in central Tallinn's charming medieval streets and picturesque houses; many of these are beautifully restored and fascinating to explore. But Tallinn is also a lively, modern capital with government buildings, a university, and diverse entertainment options. Day 8: At Sea With the bow pointing west again, enjoy the leisurely sail towards the sixth country of our schedule-Poland. This is the perfect time to take full advantage of the relaxed atmosphere onboard and partake in an interesting lecture program. Day 9: Gdynia, Poland For centuries, Gdynia was little more than a humble fishing village. However, with the rebirth of independent Poland after the First World War, the newly resurrected country was in need of a modern port on its northern seaboard. Gdynia has grown into a lively city with a population of 250,000. The harbor area is an interesting part of town to start your exploration, with museums, restaurants, and other attractions. Day 10: At Sea As you enjoy the scenery, heading back towards Oslo, you will have time to reflect on your wonderful Baltic tour. If you haven't already done so, it's an opportune time to write your memories in a journal that you will have forever, reminding you of this amazing exploration. Day 11: Oslo, Norway Your Baltic Sea adventure ends upon a morning arrival in Oslo.
