8-Day Arctic Highlights

Enjoy a tantalizing glimpse into life in the most remote regions of mainland Norway. This Arctic highlights tour is an Arctic adventure into hard-to-reach stretches of the magnificent northern Norway coastline. The entire duration of this tour is spent above the Arctic Circle, bettering the odds of spotting the ethereal but elusive Northern Lights.

Day 1: Depart the U.S.

Depart the U.S. on your transatlantic flight to Norway.

Day 2: Oslo

Arrive in Oslo, the cosmopolitan capital city of Norway. Transfer to downtown Oslo. Enjoy this bustling city on your own before enjoying an overnight stay. [B]

Day 3: Tromso

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Tromso, Norway's "Paris of the North," to embark your Hurtigruten ship. [B]

Day 4-5: Honningsvag

On board your Hurtigruten ship, sail round-trip from Tromso to the northern seaport of Honningsvag and back, plying Norway's Arctic waters along its spectacular coast. [B/L/D]

Day 6: Tromso

Arrive back in Tromso in the late evening, transfer to your hotel for an overnight. With luck, catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights or grab a bite or cocktail at its buzzing restaurants and bars. [B/L/D]

Day 7: Oslo

Transfer to airport for your flight to Oslo. Arrive and transfer to downtown Oslo. Enjoy an overnight stay in this charming, compact, and chic capital. Tour sights such as Oslo City Hall, Akershus Castle, or the Nobel Peace Center harbor-side national opera house. [B]

Day 8: Return to U.S.

Depart Oslo. Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the U.S. [B]
